We have officially made it through our 1st 6 weeks of 2nd semester. Grade cards went out this past Friday so all students are well aware of how they are doing in their classes. As I express to my students--if you like what you see---YEAH--if you do not like what you see--GET WITH IT.
I am blessed again this semester with so many wonderful students in all 3 of my classes. It is fun going in each day meeting and greeting them. Our opening discussion have been fun as well as enlightening discussing all the things going on in life.
Having this week off is sure something special. As we all know the world is experiencing high levels of stress and anxiety and one way to help in that area is to have time away--away from whatever it may be to get our minds cleared and time to refocus on things that are really important in lifes--like our families, health, volunteering, etc. '
I know that when I return to Kennesaw Mountain High School on Monday February 28, I am going to be more refreshed and know that my students will be as well. It will then be time to bare down and get with it again for another 6-7 weeks before that regenerating time again will come--Spring Break.
Wishing all well--Happy Winter Break

It's February and we are moving towards our 1st 6 weeks of the Spring semester. With the snow hopefully behind us we are striving to move forward with all the interesting information yet to be discussed in the Health and Advanced Body Sculpting classes. Just finishing up on the Goal Projects I am excited to see what all Health students have in store for their exciting futures. All my girls in the Advanced Body Sculpting Class took the opportunity to challenge themselves with maxing out in the weightroom. I am soo impressed with many that have take on the postivie challenge of how they can better themselves as wonderful young women. Looking forward to seeing them gain confidence in themselves as the semester progresses.
Won't be long---FALL BREAK----in February.
See you next time

NO SCHOOL--Mon. 1/10/2011
Let it Snow Let it Snow Let it Snow
I have been in Georgia for about 17 years now and do believe that this is the most I have seen since being here. Being from the north I am definitely familiar with the snow and ice but have found out that it is something I like to have once in a great bit.
With school out today--Monday, January 10 --looks we are going to have 2 4-day school weeks in a row with us having next Monday off due to a Holiday.
Looking forward to hearing all the All About Me projects when we return to class.
Hope all enjoys the day off and that all returns healthy---

The Kids Are Back
Well--the 2011 school year has officially started. Boy am I excited---I get to see some wonderful kids each day in all my 3 classes. It is going to be a fun semester.
Looking forward to seeing their "All About Me" projects starting later this week. I am definitely going to get to know all my students much better after seeing their projects.
My Body Sculpting class will be dressing out on Thursday--going to be fun getting moving with them this semester.
As I tell the kids----don't forget that today is the 1st day of the rest of your life but live it as if it is your last----
