Welcome to Advanced Body Sculpting.  The 2010 school is just underway and I am looking forward to me spending some quality time with the girls in  this class.
As always I am looking forwarad to a positive and rewarding experience

This class is an elective and is geared toward girls that are interested in getting their mind and bodies into better state of being.
We meet every day and the girls are encouraged to dress out every day for class.

All girls will need to bring their own lock for their PE locker.

Advanced Body Sculpting Syllabus

Course Description: This course is designed to redefine the shape of the body through specific exercises in order to attain desired body image. Through weight training, cardiovascular conditioning, exercise and proper nutrition students will improve muscle tone, muscle definition, posture, bodily proportions, physical condition, and energy levels. This will allow students to perform more effectively in daily tasks and learn to develop an exercise program to meet individual needs.


Content:     Stretching     Plyometrics     Weight Training   Nutrition   Aerobic activity

Activities will vary from classroom discussions, time in the weight room, time in the gym, time outdoors, etc.

Grading: Everything done in this class will have a point value to it.

Participation 80%

Skill Tests/Quizzes 10%

Final Exam 10%

Participation: Each day of dress out will be worth 20 points (10 points dressing/10 points for participating). If a student is to be excused from class due to a medical reason they will be responsible for bringing a medical note explaining the condition. If a student is to miss for an extended period of time, they will be required to do a report or project on a topic selected by the instructor. If not dressed out you will sit in assigned area – this will not be used as a study hall - NO book bags, purses, notebooks etc. will be allowed in the assigned P.E. area. After 3 non-dress days detention will be assigned- after 3rd administrative action will be taken.

Dressing Out: Each student will be issued a small locker in the PE locker room to store PE Clothing for class. Students are required to dress out for class each day, even injured or ill. Each student will be required to have gym shorts (appropriate length-no cheerleader shorts), tee shirt (no alcohol, drug, profanity, smoking, displayed on the shirt-no tank tops or spaghetti straps), socks, and tennis shoes. Sweats may be worn.

Locks:   Each student is required to bring their own combination lock

Skill Tests/Quizes :  Skill tests, quizzes, and skill assessment will be used to assess the student’s level
of competency in selected areas of training.

Final Exam: A final comprehensive written exam will be given at the end of the semester.
